Paul joined Glasgow Caledonian University in 2020 and will be graduating with a First-Class Honours degree in Audio Technology. Paul’s 4th year project was both novel and interesting where he investigated the native approaches to sound propagation behaviour within a virtual game environment. His work throughout his degree has been exemplary and has been keen to volunteer for various live events through the campus gaining valuable experience in live sound. Following on from achieving his undergraduate degree, Paul has recently been employed by a leading environmental acoustic monitoring and consultancy company and now wishes to pursue a career in this field.

Upon receiving news of his prize, Paul stated:

“After some of the hardest couple of years for myself and everyone I know, it is with a great sense of achievement that I can say that I thank everyone within the GCU Audio team - from fellow students to the excellent teaching staff, who made learning and graduating from the Audio Technology course both a humbling and rewarding experience.

Although there were many challenges, I am proud to have graduated with a First-Class honours degree as well as being awarded the Mediaspec prize. Both have shown that hard work and dedication are acknowledged, and I will continue to give my best efforts going forward in my career.”

Mediaspec is immensely proud to award the prize of an Avid Pro tools Ultimate Subscription to such a worthy recipent. We wish Paul every success in what is destined to be an illustrious career.
