Neumann have always been synonymous with setting the benchmark for audio quality when it comes to their microphones. Their emergence into the speaker and headphone world has retained their reputation as a company whose mission statement is to delivery pristine audio.

In a congested market, Neumann made the decision to launch their MT 48 audio interface. It faced the obvious question - why? For Neumann, the answer was simple - the answer lies in their mission to seamlessly connect high-quality audio equipment.

If you make the decision to spend money on a serious microphone that can deliver a dynamic range of up to 131 dB(A), then it ought to be used with an interface that fits its needs. The MT 48 has four times the resolution: 136 dB(A). Further, it comes with powerful, ultra-low impedance headphone outputs with an impressive 78 dB of gain.

It all sounds quite perfect, except, for many users it lacked one thing - Dante. So from today, Audinate’s network standard is available to those who need it, but will incur no extra cost to those who do not require Dante, emphasizing Neumann's dedication to flexibility and user needs.

As standard, the MT 48 continues to be shipped with the RAVENNA/AES67 firmware pre-installed. The alternative Dante firmware is offered free of charge by Neumann and can easily be installed using the MT Portal application. For Dante operation, an 8/8 or 64/64 Dante channel I/O license must be purchased from Audinate.

The 'Dante-Ready' Neumann MT 48 is available from Mediaspec.
