On Saturday, 18 May, our Managing Director Eric Joseph had the privilege of judging Sound Editing in TV/Movie Production at the Art and Media Showcase Festival, hosted by the University of the West of Scotland on their Ayr campus. The work being showcased has been produced by students positioned within the Arts & Media Division of the School of Business and Creative Industries. UWS have a reputation for producing excellent work, and this year’s students have been no different. Many of these students are set to go on to work within the creative and cultural industries after graduation.
The students were provided a silent video and had to add ADR, SFX, voiceover, Foley, and music to create a fully immersive soundscape to match the visuals. The winning submission was by Finn Freeburn-Morrison, Rusina Lekukh, Katya Mansell.
Eric Joseph said of the winning video: “It was a really creative use of sound that made the visuals come alive.”
