Benburb meet Greenock this Saturday at Ravenscraig Stadium (kick-off 2.00pm) for the 27th time on league business.

Benburb continued their excellent start to the season with a 4-1 win against Carluke Rovers. The previous encounter between these two teams produced a 10-0 hammering in favour to Carluke. But it's safe to say that ghost was laid to rest yesterday with goals from Benburb's Tony O'Neil, Billy Ferguson and David Craig.

The Bens triumphed over adversity today in an action-packed 4-2 win against Wishaw Juniors. For the majority of the 90 minutes, Bunburb played with 10 men, yet it barely affected their mission. Goals from Billy Ferguson and In-form striker Tony O'Neill were enough to grab 3 vital points for the Bens.

NEWMAINS UNITED COMMUNITY FC PREVIEW

Benburb hit the road this Saturday to play the newly formed Newmains United Community FC at Victoria Park (kick-off 2.00 pm). It was with great sadness that Coltness United were forced to go out of the game towards the end of last season.

BENS DRAW HOME TIE IN "SCOTTISH"

The draw for the first round of the Scottish Junior Cup was made at Hampden Park this morning. Benburb were handed a home tie against Stagecoach Central District League Second Division rivals Royal Albert Athletic. The tie will be played on Saturday 30 September 2006 with a 3.00pm kick-off.

Benburb are pleased to announce the signing of Billy Ferguson and Colin McInnes.

Vastly experienced striker Billy has signed on freedom of contract from Yoker Athletic and 21 year old defender Colin has signed from Rob Roy Under 21’s.

THORNIEWOOD PREVIEW

The league campaign kicks off this Saturday with the visit of Thorniewood United (kick-off 2.00 pm). Both clubs will be looking for a better season than last as Benburb finished in eighth place in their first ever season in the bottom division and Thorniewood United finished second bottom of the first division.
