Benburb meet Royal Albert Athletic this Saturday at Ravenscraig Stadium (kick-off 3.00pm) for only the fourth time in the Scottish Junior Cup. Benburb will be hoping to maintain their unbeaten record against the men from Larkhall. The three previous meetings have resulted in two Benburb wins and a draw. The first occasion was back in 1936 when it took games for Benburb to go through. Benburb would go on to win the competition for the second time defeating Yoker Athletic in a replayed final. The last occasion was only six years ago when Benburb recorded a convincing 4-1 victory. Benburb would go on to reach the semi-final stage, eventually losing out on penalties to Whitburn. Royal Albert Athletic have made a poor start to their season with only one point from a possible 15, a draw away at Stonehouse Violet. They will be coming to Govan on Saturday with nothing to lose and only a repeat of current form will do for Benburb.
